The Lloyds Tour of Britain is coming to Hull, and we're celebrating with a packed day of free activities, entertainment and cycling fun for all ages in East Park.

From 9am to 4pm, families can enjoy hands-on activities, live performances, sports challenges, workshops, food stalls and interactive experiences plus cheering on worldclass cyclists as they race through the city.

Whether you're a keen cyclist, looking for a fun family day out, or simply want to soak up the atmosphere of one of the UK's biggest sporting events, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

While the race is a major highlight of the day, the Family Cycling Festival offers a full programme of activities running throughout East Park from 9am to 4pm, making it the perfect day out for families and visitors.

The Lloyds Tour of Britain race will pass through Hull as elite riders compete in one of the most prestigious events on the cycling calendar.

Bring the family, get involved, cheer on the riders and enjoy a fantastic day of sport, entertainment and community celebration at the Lloyds Tour of Britain Family Cycling Festival.

Get active and try something new with a range of cycling activities suitable for all ages and abilities, including:

  • Balance bike sessions for younger children

  • Pedal bike coaching

  • Adapted cycling opportunities

  • Adult cycle training and Rusty Riders information

  • Cycle speedway taster sessions

  • ICE Trikes demonstrations and try-outs

  • Dr Bike maintenance support and bike repairs

  • Interactive cycling challenges and competitions

  • See the action on a giant screen, the rest of the stage, pre-race interviews and the winners presentation will all be shown on screen in the park through the day. 

The festival isn't just for cycling fans. Visitors can enjoy:

  • Inflatable football and multi-sport activities

  • Outdoor spin classes

  • Health and wellbeing information

  • Active travel and physical activity advice

  • Family crafts and creative workshops

  • Cycling-themed glitter tattoos

  • Make-your-own flags to wave at the riders

  • Community and charity stalls

Take a break and enjoy food and drink from a range of vendors throughout the day, including hot food, refreshments and sweet treats.

Please note:

Consider walking, cycling or arriving by public transport. Parking in the area will be limited. There will be no vehicle access or public parking within East Park on the day. There will be limited parking available in Woodford Leisure Centre only. The overflow parking will not be available.

The usual activities in the park, including the splashpads and other park activities will remain open. People using these are able to park in Malet Lambert School but availability of spaces will be very limited. 

If arriving by cycle then please remember your bike lock so you can make full use of the activities on the day.
