Get Ready for Hull Maritime Summer Events!

Hull city centre is set to come alive this summer with a packed programme of free maritime-themed events and activities for families to enjoy throughout the school holidays.

To mark the highly anticipated opening of the Hull Maritime Museum and as part of Hull’s Summer of Maritime celebrations. visitors can look forward to an exciting programme of family-friendly entertainment that celebrates the city’s rich maritime heritage through creativity, adventure and discovery.

From Saturday 25 July, the city centre will burst into life with a wave of maritime-themed activities. From spectacular giant sand sculptures and lively theatrical performances in Queen Victoria Square, to oversized deckchairs, seaside-themed photo opportunities and hands-on craft activities in the Museums Quarter, there will be something to entertain visitors of all ages! Week 4 A Whale of a Time!

Ever listened to a tale from inside an inflatable whale? No? Then don't miss this week! Plus appearances from The playful Funnels, a comical Victorian trio, Make Your Own Hovercraft workshops and loads more!

Week 5 Of the Crustacean Persuasion!

A giant lobster take over! As the new master of the planet rises from the seas, keep an eye out for Captain Monty and Minty too as they sail their cabin cruiser around! Plus The Sea Sphere brings you face to face with a real life mermaid!

Week 6 The Mural of the Story...

Round out this jam-packed summer of events with some of your favourite acts from throughout the festival, plus Scrapstore lead on a fin-tastic Large Mural Painting Workshop! What better way to round out the hols!
